FREE SPACE & FACILITIES

Employers can use the OhioMeansJobs conference facilities or office space for recruitment, job fairs or private interviews at no cost and no strings attached.

Room/Space Availability at no charge Room sizes can accommodate anywhere from 3 people up to 40 people All handicapped accessible Computer/Projector capabilities available If needed, space available for computer/internet access for individuals up to 10 max at a time

OFFSET YOUR
TRAINING COSTS

WE CAN HELP YOU:

  • Perform skill assessments and aptitude testing
  • Establish apprenticeship/ internship programs
  • Information and referral to local training providers
  • Train staff with business and
    human resource workshops
  • On-the-Job Training Underwrites the cost of hourly wages with 50% reimbursement
  • Reimbursement not to exceed $8,000 per new hire
  • Training length not to exceed six months or 1040 hours
  • Hourly wage must exceed $12 per hour
  • Eligibility required (long-term unemployed, income eligible, or laid-off)
  • Incumbent Worker Training Upgrade or retain skilled employees
  • Reimbursement of up to 90% of the cost of training
  • No eligibility for employees
  • Measurable outcome such as wage gain, certification, or skills gain

NAVIGATING HARD DECISIONS: We can help you when it comes to downsizing decisions and how to allow your employees to be prepared for unemployment in times of need. We provide:

Unemployment navigator for employers Layoff aversion or downsizing strategies Community resources for the unemployed Layoff & dislocated worker services If your business is planning a layoff or plant closing, we can provide transition assistance

Our team of professionals will be on-site to deliver comprehensive services that include training dollars for education, credentials or skills upgrade, reemployment assistance, resume workshops and much more.
